Just got my cover lifter installed, took a big of finessing as my tub is smaller than most (ie: had to cut the center pole to accommodate its narrower width). Went together fairly easily for me overall, and I'm sure someone who is handier than I could do it much faster. It's not often that I write an unsolicited testimonial, but from start to finish I was so impressed by Hot Tub Covers Canada. The website is well laid out and it was very simple to find the product I needed. Pricing is good - especially if I factor in the "cost" of my time hunting around brick-and-mortar stores to find the best (if even available) price.
I placed my order mid-morning on Good Friday. Imagine my surprise when I got a call, later that morning, not only to check the order but to let me know that my order was going to be hand delivered on Monday. Yes, it was a happy coincidence of a family event allowing personal delivery - so don't expect the same with orders to Yellowknife!!
Yesterday I assembled and installed the lifter. Quality components and clear instructions made it a breeze - done in well under an hour!
Great product, great price and outstanding service will get my vote every day!

Seems like a pretty good lifter to me! Review by Loving it.

Pros: heavy duty construction

This seems to be a pretty heavy duty lifter. Our previous lifter had plastic joints that cracked, we repaired and then they finally just bit the dust. The only plastic on this lifter are the end caps on the hydraulic arms. The rest is steel construction. Right now our cover is new, thus light, I guess the true test will be when the inserts are saturated and the cover is heavy as to how well the hydraulics work then. We actually rotated our cover a 1/4 turn because this lifter holds the cover right up off the ground as shown in the picture so we now have a little more privacy from the neighbors when the cover is open. The lifter is mounted to the hot tub skirt above the access panel and it works great. I can't comment on the installation as my husband took care of that but he didn't seem to have any difficulty."
